TOURO UNIVERSITY CALIFORNIA LIBRARY
Current Library Hours and Operations
Please contact your subject librarian by email if you need reference or research assistance. If you have general questions or are not sure who to contact, please email the general Library address tuc.library@tu.edu.
LIBRARY SERVICES
CIRCULATION: Curbside pick-up and mailing of print books including print Reserve books are available. E-mail your request to the Library's general address: tuc.library@tu.edu by 10 am on Wednesday for a Wednesday curbside pick-up, or Fridays by 10 am for a Friday curbside pick-up. Please indicate whether you will pick up the print books at curbside pick-up or want them mailed to you. If you want the books mailed to you, please include your mailing address in the e-mail request. Please see Library Curbside Pickup section below for more details.
RETURN AND RENEWAL OF LIBRARY MATERIALS: All items you have currently checked out may be returned to the Library book-drop located at the front of the Library, or you may mail them back to the Library at the following address: Library, Touro University California, 1310 Club Drive, Vallejo, CA 94592. If you want to renew a book you currently have checked-out, please send an e-mail to tuc.library@tu.edu, and we will be happy to renew the book for you.
RESERVE MATERIALS: If the Library has only one print copy on Reserve, it will be made available for curbside check-out--not for mailing--for a 2-day check-out. Any Reserve materials for which the Library has more than 1 print copy, will be available for mailing with a one week check-out. Please follow the instructions above under Circulation.
PHOTOCOPIES/PRINTING FROM LIBRARY MATERIALS: To the degree allowed by Copyright Law, the Library will provide photocopies of articles or chapters from TUC Library print materials and make those available for curbside pick-up or send by mail. Please follow the instructions above under Circulation. Please Note: General printing (e.g. of class notes, resumes) is provided by the TUC IT Dept. and such printing requests need to be sent to: TUC.Remote.Printing@tu.edu.
LIBRARY CURBSIDE PICK-UP: Library curbside pick-up for print books and photocopies from Library print materials will be each Wednesday and Friday from 12-3 pm. When you arrive at the Library, please call 707-638-5300 and let the Library employee know you are here to pick-up your book(s). In response to your call, the books checked out to you and/or photocopies will be brought out and placed on the table on the Library patio in front of the Library front door and you will be asked to pick up the Library materials from there. You will be expected to wear a face mask when using Library curbside delivery.
INTERLIBRARY LOAN: The Library is using a new interlibrary loan service called CLIO. If you have not already, you will need to register for an interlibrary loan account by signing in with your TouroOne or OpenAthens login and filling out your email address and program information. Once registered, please submit your article and book chapter requests on your interlibrary loan dashboard. Follow the Interlibrary Loan link under SERVICES to connect to the Library's new interlibrary loan service. Please note, our ILL partner libraries are not lending print books so we still cannot process requests for physical books.
REFERENCE: Please contact your subject librarian. To find your librarian, follow the LIBRARY DIRECTORY link on the right of this page under NEED HELP, or send an e-mail to our general Library e-mail: tuc.library@tu.edu. Reference assistance will be available Mondays through Thursdays from 8 am - 8 pm and on Fridays from 8 am - 3 pm via e-mail, phone, or Zoom.
E-RESOURCES: To access TUC eResources (ebooks, databases, online journals) from off campus, please make sure to link to them from the Library Catalog, A-Z Databases, and A-Z Journals links on this TUC Library webpage (find the links under RESOURCES, below, and to the left under SELECTED TOOLS). Before being taken to the resource, you will be prompted to first login to OpenAthens with your TouroOne login credentials (or your OpenAthens account if you do not have a TouroOne account). Once you login, you will then be redirected to your chosen resource. Please contact the Library if you have access questions or problems.
